Worship
My name is Christian Flores and I am the Worship Leader here at River in the Hills Church. My wife Arwen is a strong, praying woman, passionate about healing and deliverance prayer. She is also anointed in the cooking and baking arts (this is a legitimate claim, I promise). We have been married for 8 months. Both of us are members at RITH and excited about seeing God set people free.
Here are some things you should know about me:
- I enjoy worshiping God. I live for those moments when God moves and overwhelms us with His goodness and everyone’s feet get lifted off the floor for a few moments (figuratively speaking). We run after Daddy, and He welcomes us with grace and love.
- I write prayers. As Jason Upton has said, “My songs are prayers.” I can’t help but write and sing songs about Jesus. The only time I feel comfortable musically is singing and strumming with all my might and crying out for more of Jesus.
- I live to see 24/7 worship in Austin, TX. As we pray 24/7 for the lost and hurting, God’s anointing is on the church to share the Good News with the city. It is the model that the Holy Spirit is bringing back to the Church, a house of prayer in the spirit of the tabernacle of David.
I believe God has called us to be a praying and worshipping people. He calls us to love Him and love others. He teaches us how to love ourselves. Worship is so essential to receiving from the Lord. His presence softens our heart so that He can sow His word and bring life. It’s what I and the team are looking forward to every Sunday and every Healing Room, to see God breakthrough and take His rightful place, resting in our hearts.
